What do you do at CB Insights? What did you do before?
I work on the research team, diving into the treasure chest of data we have at our fingertips and writing briefs and reports around a number of topics in private company investing ranging from industry overviews in areas such as education technology and digital health to quarterly corporate venture capital reports. I also produce the CB Insights newsletter and help out on press inquiries, hiring and customer support when needed.
Prior to CB Insights, I just recently graduated from Northwestern (Go Cats) and spent some time covering startups and venture capital at Inc. and Dow Jones VentureWire.
What’s one interesting fact that not many people know about you?
It’s become a bit of a joke within my family but I can’t sing to save my life. That said, I’m never opposed to a karoake night as long as I don’t have the mic during the high notes.
What’s your ideal vacation spot?
I’ve always wanted to take a trip to Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia) to try out the local foods and explore the remote beaches. Machu Picchu in Peru is also on my bucket list.
1 horse-size duck or 100 duck-size horses? Why?
1 horse-size duck. Ideally would be able to train it and ride it down the Hudson to work and avoid the morning 1 train rush.
