The category of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is gaining attention as it increasingly becomes the “gateway drug” for the automation of human cognition at large companies.
RPA refers to the automation of manual, data-intensive applications, such as data entry, compliance, transaction processing, customer onboarding, and more. While not all RPA companies leverage artificial intelligence, many are beginning to do so.
We used the CB Insights platform to surface 6 RPA startups to watch. Companies were selected based on the recency and size of their disclosed funding, as well as their Mosaic score, CB Insights’ National Science Foundation-backed algorithm that uses financial and non-financial signals to predict private company health.
All of the companies in the list below have raised disclosed equity funding rounds in 2017. They are listed in descending order of total funding raised (as of 8/29/17).
