Culture Doesn't Just Happen.
This year, CB Insights was among the 100 companies named to the Crain’s Best Places to Work in NYC. Now in its tenth year, the “Crain’s List” recognizes top New York companies that go above and beyond in inspiring and encouraging their employees.
“Our culture is driven by people who exhibit the 4H’s — they’re helpful, humble, hungry and happy. When you get a team like that together, good things happen in terms of culture and results,” said CB Insights CEO and co-founder Anand Sanwal. “We are one of the fastest growing SaaS companies in the world and we’re doing it without lighting money on fire. This is only possible because of the culture and team who care deeply about doing great work, taking care of our clients and winning. I’m very lucky to be part of this team.”
Culture doesn’t simply happen. We quickly learned this when we started to rapidly scale and this was the top mistake we made. Once we realized that we had to actively work on building our culture, the Culture Code was born. As the “startup for grownups,” we continue to try and foster a respectful and engaging environment.
“In four years, we’ve grown the team from 15 to 150 and have managed to maintain our culture in the face of this explosive growth. Our team has taken a deliberate approach to this growth by being very selective about who we hire and then ensuring they’re successful and growing after they’ve arrived,” said CB Insights COO and co-founder Jonathan Sherry. “All of this is on display in the culture they’ve helped build. I’m proud to see our team get this well-deserved recognition.”
To keep our rapidly growing base of employees happy, we offer such perks as an annual education stipend, 401(k) with 4% matching, paid parental leave, subsidized health/dental/vision insurance and a daily Seamless lunch stipend.
