Two stealthy auto companies raised this week, one of which Tesla has filed suit against.
The CB Insights Cruncher found a couple of stealth auto tech raises recently.
Among those were Aurora Innovation, a stealthy company working on self-driving vehicles which raised $3.11M last week, and WrightSpeed which raised an $8M Series C for its electric vehicle powertrains for heavy-duty applications.
Aurora is the highly-pedigreed startup affiliated with Chris Urmson (ex-Google car/Waymo director) and Sterling Anderson (ex-Tesla Autopilot director). Tesla has filed suit against the young company for alleged intellectual property theft, not unlike Waymo’s recent lawsuit against Uber and Otto.
