Since 2013, the software giant has acquired 75 companies in total. Acquisition activity peaked in 2015, nearly a year after Satya Nadella replaced Steve Ballmer as CEO.
While 2018 has yet to exceed 2015 in terms of total acquisition activity, it has been the most acquisitive year for Microsoft since 2016.
