When you are on a company profile, you’ll notice a big orange Follow button (see image above) right up top. If you’ve already hit this button once, twice or a hundred times, you know that updates (news, financing or M&A) on these companies are on your MyCBI page. It’s been a very popular feature among users who want to track sales leads, competitors or their portfolio companies.
The alerts are hyper-relevant so can be thought of as Google Alerts without the noise. And are another way we let users track organizations of interest and trigger events related to them (see our post on stalking venture capital firms as well).
But the recurring request from users was
“SEND THESE UPDATES TO MY EMAIL!“
Yes – some of them were pretty fired up about this.
So we’re happy to announce that we’ve email-enabled alerts about companies you follow for all users of CB Insights. You’ll begin receiving them (if you’ve chosen to) as part of a new Weekly Digest email. Once a week, you’ll get an email that has all financing, M&A and news related to companies you follow. It’s the easiest way to track companies of interest so you should login to CB Insights now and hit the follow button on companies of interest. Note: There are no limits on the # of companies you can follow.
The Weekly Digest is optimized for mobile phones as well as for your email clients when on your laptop/desktop. The first screenshot (to the left) shows you what the Weekly Digest looks like on your mobile phone. And the second screenshot shows what the Weekly Digest would look like in an email client.
A lot more to come in the area of pushing custom data and information to you so stay tuned. If any questions on the Weekly Digest, don’t hesitate to reach out. Happy Following.
