Ford had quite the year in 2021. After bringing on a new CEO and reprioritizing its investment strategy, the company’s stock price more than doubled, and its market cap surpassed its largest domestic competitor, General Motors.
The company has seen substantial runway, despite an automotive supply chain crisis and a rising crop of new competitors building electric vehicles.
Driving much of the momentum has been Ford’s aggressive plans to build out an ecosystem for connected, electric vehicles, targeting both the passenger and commercial vehicle markets.
