VC-backed European Tech companies raised $2.5B in Q1’15 hitting a 17-quarter high. The funding was buoyed by five $100M+ rounds with food delivery titan Delivery Hero’s $563M financing by Rocket Internet taking the pole position.
The other top deals were largely concentrated in eCommerce and in the UK or Germany, as companies like HelloFresh, Foodpanda, FarFetch, and WindeIn.de all raised $50M+ rounds. Overall the top 10 deals raised a total of $1.36B in Q1’15.
