Using CB Insights data, we identified 100+ of the most well-funded private companies working specifically on edtech and divided them into the 12 main categories in which they operate.
We define edtech startups as those working to replace or supplement traditional education systems for both students and professionals.
Companies featured in the market map are VC-backed, and the majority have raised a round of funding in the last 24 months or have a valuation of $1B or greater. In some cases, we include companies with an established presence, substantial funding, or significant traction or partnerships.
