That chess bod
FYI, keto and paleo are out — the grandmaster diet is in.
Turns out that world championship-level chess players can burn up to 6,000 calories per day during a tournament. That’s 3x more than what an average person eats in a day.
A researcher at Stanford University says that grandmasters’ stress responses, including breathing rate, blood pressure, and muscle contractions, are pretty much the same as what “elite athletes” experience.
So if you’re looking to drop an average of 2 pounds a day, put down the red meat and pick up a pawn.
