Baby and kids tech continues to be on investors’ minds, as deals to the industry hit a record high last year of 176 deals. At the current run rate, 2017 is on track to grow even further to reach 185 deals, worth over $550M in disclosed equity funding.
Startups making deals in the baby and kids tech sector vary widely, from e-commerce platforms to startups aimed at helping children learn to code, to augmented reality toys. Using the CB Insights database, we identified 87 private companies making waves in the industry. All companies on the list are VC-backed and have raised a round of funding in the last 24 months.
We define the baby and kids tech space to include companies developing tech-enabled products and services that primarily serve babies, children up to approximately 12 years old, and their parents. Check out the market map and full list of companies below.
