China Digest: BV-backed Changyang nets $22m; Yungongchang nets $14m

August 7, 2020 Changyang Technology has garnered 150 million yuan ($22 million) in a Series C round of financing from state-owned investors CITIC Securities and Zhonghai Investment. Meanwhile, Yungongchang has closed a 100 million yuan ($14 million) Series B round funding from Echo Capital. BV-backed Changyang nets $22 in Series C round Baidu Ventures-backed industrial internet of things (IoT) security solution developer Changyang Technology has garnered 150 million yuan ($22 million) in a Series C round from state-owned investors CITIC Securities and Zhonghai Investment. The round also saw the participation of new investors NewMargin Capital and Zaishi Capital and existing investors Cornerstone Capital and FH Capital’s sub-fund, according to a company statement. BV along with Cornerstone Capital, Qijiu Investment, and 1898 Capital had collectively poured ‘millions of US dollars’ in Changyang’s Series A round of financing in October 2018. Cornerstone had also participated in its angel and pre-B rounds in 2018 and 2019, respectively. Yungongchang nets $14m Chinese manufacturing-focused e-commerce platform Yungongchang said it has closed a 100 million yuan ($14 million) in its Series B round funding from Echo Capital, a boutique investment firm. It has previously raised capital from China Academy of Sciences, Casstar, Foxconn, and Yingfu Capital since its inception in 2016, it said in the statement. Headquartered in Shenzhen, Yungongchang is an online trade platform providing equipment and components for the global manufacturing industry. The platform claims its top clients include Ctrip, Airbnb, Alibaba, Meituan, Didi, and Lalamove.
