36Kr.com, 5/15/18 Shenzhen-based Level 4 self-driving vehicle solutions developer Xingxing Technology (Roadstar.ai) announced today the completion of USD 128 mln in Series A funding (approximately equivalent to RMB 812 mln) jointly led by Wu Capital and Shenzhen Capital Group and with participation from previous investor Yunqi Partners and new participants CMB International and Vision Plus Capital. The funding is the highest amount raised in the autonomous driving field in China as announced to date. Roadstar.ai was established in April 2017 and develops Level 4 automated driving solutions based on multi-sensor data fusion technology that combines algorithms and cost-controllable sensors. Along with the funding announcement, Roadstar.ai also announced its first autonomous driving solution targeting the complicated urban landscapes of China. Aries, as the solution is called, is also the world's first Level 4 solution based entirely on domestic LiDAR, giving it an advantage on the cost control front.
