Travesse Lifestyle Ltd. today confirmed a comprehensive programme of investment designed to reinvigorate its newly-acquired industry booking engine, Starfish. The industry-proven distribution channel, which specialises in luxury and boutique accommodation, will benefit from £1.3million of investment over the next two and a half years, to improve functionality as well as content. Starfish already benefits from over 20 years of technological development and, with complex search capabilities and a sophisticated rules engine, it allows hoteliers to include any number of value-added offers. The improvements will make the booking engine faster, increase its list of aggregators, offer an improved customer benefits programme and generate new supporting editorial content. Through Starfish, hotels can manage their pricing in line with availability and publish real-time rates on Travesse Lifestyle Ltd. websites as well as on affiliate partners’ sites, including Condé Nast Traveller, Red Online UK, Room for Romance, LUXE/City Guides and Luxique.
