NutriQuick acquires a €500k taste for growth

Food entrepreneur Tom Gannon, who co-founded protein bar Fulfil and Cali Cali alongside Niall McGrath, can taste growth. Fitness ready-meal firm NutriQuick, a company Gannon is a director of, is to invest over €500,000 in its Co Wicklow plant. The firm, which counts Dean Siney as managing director, recently landed a €9m deal with Aldi to supply its Irish stores. NutriQuick is investing the €500,000 to upgrade its refrigeration, cooking, and packing lines. The upgrade has commenced and will be complete in 2022. It envisages a 200pc increase in capacity, allowing it to exceed €10m in annual revenue. Nutriquick is set to invest in several sustainable soultions. These will include an expanded storage space which will allow less raw ingredient deliveries, sustainable packaging for better recycling, compactors to improve waste management, alternative raw ingredient solutions with less packaging waste and new energy efficient equipment On the €9m deal with Aldi, Siney said: “Working with Aldi has been instrumental in our success as a business, and we’re delighted to be signing this new €9 million contract. It has always been our mission to bring our high quality, tasty and nutritionally balanced ready meals to as many shoppers as possible. Our strong ongoing partnership with Aldi has allowed us to achieve this, together, nationwide.” NutriQuick began working with Aldi Ireland in early 2019 with its range of healthy fitness meals including chili con carne. Conga could be set to make a line for Ireland US-headquartered tech firm Conga, which develops revenue lifecycle management software, may be set to enter the Irish market after registering a new company here. According to files on the Companies Registration Office, Conga set up an Irish firm last month. One of the documents filed as part of the process shows it proposes to carry out its activities at WeWork’s Dublin Landings shared office space on North Wall Quay. The Irish subsidiary was formed by Conga CEO Michael Noel Goggin. According to his LinkedIn profile, Goggin, who was appointed CEO in 2020, previously studied at DCU. Business Newsletter
