Apex Group appoints new Regional Head in UK Apex Group, a global financial services provider, has announced the appointment of Stephen Geddes as Regional Head – United Kingdom, responsible for overseeing the delivery of Apex Group’s single-source solution to global clients. Stephen (pictured) is appointed Regional Head – United Kingdom, having joined Apex Group in London through the strategic acquisition of Mainspring Fund Services, where he was the Founder and CEO. The addition of Mainspring has deepened Apex Group’s provision of outsourced fund administration services to small and medium-sized venture fund managers, as well as adding notable new custody and nominee administration services for private assets. A specialist team of 70 experts serving client asset of £10.5bn of assets under administration (“AuA”) have joined the Apex Group platform in the UK. Stephen founded Mainspring in 2010, having spent eight years as COO at Pi Capital. In this operational role, he gained valuable insight into the challenges of operating a fast-growing private equity fund manager, from leading the finance, HR and IT functions to structuring funds and managing investor relations for several hundred investors. He was responsible for the administration of more than 30 investment entities, including direct investments, limited partnerships, co-investing vehicles and fund of funds vehicles. Prior to that he was an investor at Eden Capital, consultant at Kagen Media, helped set up BBC Online and started his career in corporate finance at Hambros Bank. Apex Group in the UK offers a full suite of technology-enabled products and solutions across Fund Administration, Financial and Corporate Solutions, delivered by a team of around 600 local market experts. The UK business has continued to achieve double-digit organic growth, as well as successfully integrating a series of high quality acquisitions including Sanne Group,MJ Hudson and global fund administration software business, Pacific Fund Systems (PFS-PAXUS). Apex Group’s UK clients – as well as international clients investing into the UK -benefit from the efficiency of a single-source solution, including access to a broad range of services including Digital Banking, Depositary, Fund Raising Services, and pioneering ESG Ratings and Advisory Solutions, offered globally.
