Tyre Express , a Navi Mumbai-based startup which provides enterprise IoT solutions, has raised an additional amount in its seed round from the CFO of a BSE 500 KPO, Rohitash Gupta. This funding round is a follow-up round to the initial funding raised by the company via IvyCamp platform. Tyre Express is working on the IoT-based solution for diagnostics of the vehicle and has been successfully developed a platform to keep a record of and to monitor the performance of tyres in real-time for fleet operators. The platform enables fleet operators to make tyre last for a long time, improve the fuel efficiency of the vehicle, reduce the chances of accidents and to improve the overall operational efficiency of the fleet. The startup was founded by Dinesh Wakale, an alumnus of S P Jain Institute of Management and Research, and Brijesh Shukla, an alumnus of Said Business School in November, 2015. Tyre Express is also part of NASSCOM 10000 Startups and is supported by Microsoft’s BizSpark program. The target audience of Tyre Express are the Fleet operators who seek to actively leverage technology to improve operational efficiency. It also is expected to work to give the solutions for Tyre and Vehicle OEMs and Organized Fleet operators.
