Sep 2, 2021

news, latest-news, Elizabeth Rogers has been announced as the chief executive of the Canberra Glassworks. Glassworks chair Gary Rake said Ms Rogers was a specialist arts administrator and joined the glassworks having served as chief executive of Regional Arts NSW for the past 15 years. She has a longstanding connection to Canberra, having also previously held the role of executive director at Canberra Arts Marketing. Ms Rogers will start her new role on October 18. "The Canberra Glassworks, with such a talented team of artists and staff, has established such a strong presence for an organisation that is little more than a decade old. I am really excited to be able to lead the Glassworks through the next stage of growth and development," she said. "I can see wonderful opportunity, along with a few challenges, in the new Kingston Arts Precinct - and I am really looking forward to being one of the positive and proactive influences on the development of that place. "I am also keen to support our artistic team and those who work at the Canberra Glassworks - with their pursuit of innovation and excellence in all forms of glass, in their continued collaboration with artists from other fields and with our First Nations People." Current glassworks CEO Julie Skate finishes on September 10. /images/transform/v1/crop/frm/32suSVsqH3pdw6NJyh92X9D/60b8d151-49ab-4137-8de2-f59875da9a2a.jpg/r0_77_225_204_w1200_h678_fmax.jpg
