Watch Floyd Mayweather, Mike Tyson and 50 Cent Hangover Parody Video
Oct 25, 2011
Rapper 50 Cent has recruited some high-profile friends from the boxing world to help him with his latest charity venture, Street King. Street King was announced in July as a charitable initiative in which sales will provide food for people who need it around the world. The rapper is working with Pure Growth Partners to initially provide an energy drink where each purchase helps provide a meal to a starving child. “50 Cent and I share a common vision: To address the world’s problems through smart and sustainable business models,” said Chris Clark, the founder and CEO of Pure Growth Partners . “With the rampant starvation in Africa and hunger afflicting children worldwide, we need socially responsible businesses that affect real change now more than ever.”
50 concurs stating, “I’m inspired by [Clarke’s] vision and innovative approaches to tackling serious issues. It’s our mission with Street King to really change children’s lives around the world.”
To get this new brand some exposure, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Mike Tyson appear in a commercial for the drink that spoofs The Hangover, in which Tyson had a very memorable cameo. The spot begins with the Fifty and Mayweather waking up in an absolutely destroyed but lavish hotel room with bottles of Street King strewn about. They appear quite disheveled. Tyson appears from a side room talking about how he had so much energy and looks chipper. The spot then flashes back to the night prior, with Fifty "spiking" Tyson’s drink with some Street King after he complains how the club is boring. Tyson proceeds to have a great time and is "moving and grooving" during the night. He later recalls he "stepped to that tall piece of water like a thoroughbred, not a loaf of bread. "
It’s obvious the commercial is conveying that the drink will make you have a good time and energize you. It’s a pretty entertaining spot and the star power should get this noble cause some due attention. This drink hits shelves in September and you can support the cause by buying an energy drink at your local store or "liking" their Facebook page .
