Sonarworks , a Riga, Latvia-based audio software company, raised €5m in Series A funding. The round was led by Karma Ventures and Practica Capital with participation from Revo Capital, SuperAngel, ProksCapital and Imprimatur. The company intends to use the funds to develop its sound calibration and personalization consumer products, and to increase its market presence in key regions. Founded in 2012 and led by Helmuts Bems, CEO, Sonarworks is a global leader in digital sound calibration technologies with customers in over 170 countries. The company has a database of more than 10,000 measured sound devices and a set of AI-based technologies to precisely map individual hearing and sound preferences. By combining digital adjustment of the sound device and individual hearing, the company will be able to deliver a personalized sound experience for every individual on every device. FinSMEs
