The round was led by a large family offices with participation from existing investors The Westly Group, Apsara Capital, Physic Ventures, and Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ). In conjunction with the funding, Hal Harvey of Energy Innovation will join WaterSmart’s Board of Directors which already includes Steve Westly (Westly Group), Will Rosenzweig (Physic Ventures), Steve Bennet (Sand Hill Angels), Robin Gilthorpe and Peter Yolles (WaterSmart Founder). The company intends to use the capital to continue to scale the business by expanding sales and investing in additional platform capabilities.
