Mergers & Acquisitions | 24 December 2014 3i Infotech Sells UK's Investment Management Solutions Business To Objectway SpA by Vivek Singh @vivek As a part of its strategy to focus on core business operations, 3i Infotech has sold UK based Investment Management Solutions business housed under 3i Infotech Western Europe Ltd to Italian investment management software solutions firm, ObjectWay Financial Software S.p.A. The financial details of the deal remain undisclosed. Avendus Capital was the exclusive financial and strategic advisor to 3i Infotech for the deal. Based out of UK, 3i Infotech Western Europe, with employee strength of close to 170 offers investment management software solutions to mid market firms in the UK serving over 30 clients. It provides front-to-back office solutions focused on private client investment managers, private banks and full service execution stockbrokers. The proceeds generated from the sale will be used to trim its debt and funding business operations. With the deal conclusion, 3i Infotech Western Europe’s product offerings will be integrated into the Objectway Financial Software product suite. Founded in 1990, Objectway offers software applications and technology services for financial markets and other corporates in Italy and Europe through its two group companies - Objectway Financial Software SpA - the parent company - and Objectway iTec SpA. 3i Infotech offers a set of IP based software solutions (20+) along with a range of IT services across sectors including Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets, Asset & Wealth Management (BFSI). Headquartered in Mumbai, the company has over 9,000 employees in more than 27 offices across 12 countries and over 1500 customers in more than 50 countries across 5 continents
