Midwest Mezzanine Funds (MMF Capital) serves primarily as a junior capital provider which is generally not interested in operating or controlling a company. Instead Midwest Mezzanine prefers to work with management teams and equity sponsors whose financial incentives are clearly aligned with ours. MMF's ideal investment candidates are generally companies that have a history of generating strong consistent profitability, that are involved in a niche business or possess a sustainable competitive advantage over competitors, that employ established technology and are not overly capital-intensive, and that are led by a management team with a successful track record. Midwest Mezzanine Funds participate in the following transaction types: Buyouts, acquisition financing, recapitalizations, and growth capital. From an investment size perspective, MMF participates in investments ranging from $5 million to $15 million. Additionally, they can lead or participate in investments greater than $15 million by co-investing with their limited partners or other mezzanine providers. From an investment criteria perspective, Midwest Mezzanine Funds seeks companies with EBITDA of at least $3 million per year based in United States and Canada. They look for companies in the following industries: Manufacturers, value-added distributors, or service providers. Representative end-markets include consumer products, commercial products, industrial services, business services, industrial products, food products, environmental, and for-profit post-secondary education. Midwest Mezzanine Funds does not invest in companies in the high technology, energy, or real estate sectors.
