Many of these problems per Meidlinger are associated with cleaning water and wastewater in an energy efficient manner in and treating water and wastewater in order to meet governmental standards. The firm invests in companies with water technologies, products and services that serve the needs of government and privately owned water and wastewater utilities as well as industrial clients (such as companies that produce metals, wood, paper, chemicals, gasoline, oils, and power).

In conjunction with the funding, Karen Meidlinger, managing principal at Meidlinger Partners, will join the company’s board of directors. Formed in 2009, Liberty designs, installs and services proprietary filtration and advanced treatment systems designed to remove elements such as selenium and other metal items from by-product water associated with mining and other industrial applications.
