About Leaf Clean Energy

Leaf Clean Energy was incorporated in the Cayman Islands on 14th May 2007 for the purpose of acquiring interests in, owning, operating and managing clean energy companies and projects including renewable energy projects, and other projects that create environmental benefits through greenhouse gas emission reductions. They invest predominantly in North America. Clean energy includes activities such as the production of alternative fuels, renewable power generation and the use of technologies to reduce the environmental impact of traditional energy sources. Leaf Clean was initially funded with GBP 200m and is publicly traded and listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange. Leaf Clean will target an overall pre-tax internal rate of return on each project of 20 per cent and seeks to build a diverse portfolio of assets, and Leaf Clean expects that no single Project Company shall account for more than 25% of gross assets. They primarily target majority or controlling positions in development or operating assets.
