The 2,500-square-foot establishment will feature a 2,000-square-foot hookah lounge with the rest of the space reserved for the bar and restaurant, which will serve Middle Eastern food. Mahmoud Nezamloo, a Realtor-associate with Keller Williams Honolulu, told PBN that his existing hookah lounge on Kona Street near the Ala Moana Center in Honolulu will be moved to the new, highly visible spot on Piikoi Street. He noted that the Quintero’s building has been vacant for about six years, and that the next-door parking lot will be used as a paid parking lot. “It’s a bigger place,” Nezamloo said. “It will be good to have high ceilings for that kind of business.” The new establishment will employ about five people. A hookah is an instrument used for vaporizing and smoking flavored tobacco. Rentals at the Kona Street location run about $15 per hour and offer such flavors as Irish Peach, Simply Mango, White Mint, Fuzzy Naval and Pumpkin Pie.
