Global Brain has invested in SORAJIMA Inc. (SORAJIMA), a content studio that produces original webtoons, through its KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (KOIF III). SORAJIMA is an entertainment startup that produces original webtoon content and provides “cosmic,” an original manga app that features its own content. The size of the webtoon market, which SORAJIMA is working on, is expected to grow seven-fold over the next seven years to reach approximately 3 trillion yen. In this large market, SORAJIMA has already achieved a great deal of success in the short time it has been in business, releasing 26 titles in 2022 and producing many top-ranking titles on popular platforms in Japan such as LINE Manga and comico. Global Brain has decided to invest in SORAJIMA because of its attractive webtoon content loved by the users and its organizational strength to keep creating such content. Through this investment, Global Brain will support SORAJIMA's further business development, overseas expansion, and the creation of innovative new media mix. About SORAJIMA
