Experienced marketing executive to build SMS Assist brand as company continues rapid growth June 20, 2018 06:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time CHICAGO--( BUSINESS WIRE )--SMS Assist today announced the hiring of Jodi Navta as its new chief marketing officer. A driven, experienced and results-focused executive, Navta will be responsible for leading SMS Assist’s marketing and communications efforts in support of the company’s rapid growth. She was most recently global chief marketing officer of Coyote Logistics, a Chicago-based third-party logistics service provider that grew its annual revenue during her tenure from approximately $300 million to over $2 billion. “Jodi is a strong leader with a great record in creating value through defining and building the leading brand in a disruptive category. She also swam at the University of Michigan, where she was an Academic All-American all four years and captained the team as a senior. Navta earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology while at Michigan and a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. She currently serves on the board of DePaul University's Coleman Entrepreneurship Center.
