JUAREZ, Chihuahua (KVIA) -- On May 10, a week ago, U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced changes were going to be made to the CBP One app to expand the number of appointments available for people requesting asylum. The changes also included prioritizing those who have been waiting for the longest and allowing for additional time to complete those requests. As ABC-7 reported last week , migrants applying in Juarez were frustrated by the lack of time and opportunities the app was giving them. They used to have a designated time to request asylum and now they have a window of 23 hours each day. Now migrants camping outside of Juarez's city hall say, they've seen improvements in the app, but not the ones they were expecting. The app has improved according to them, but they have not been able to schedule their appointments yet.
