Arrington worked for Momentous Corporation of Canada before founding TechCrunch, administering businesses within the incubator's portfolio. He is a former lawyer and an active member of the State Bar of California. In 2009, Arrington stopped angel investing but resumed in 2011 after the sale of his company, TechCrunch, to AOL for a reported $25 million.
