Inventages Venture Capital Investment, founded in 2000 and based in Geneva, Switzerland, is a corporate private equity and venture capital arm run by Nestle. Inventages focuses on financing companies across a broad spectrum of companies including PIPES, seed, early, mid, late venture, growth, and buyouts financing. In terms of industry focus, Inventages seeks to invest in life sciences and biotechnology, drugs, OTC and medical foods, nutrition, functional foods, nutraceuticals and dietary supplements, cosmeceuticals, health and wellness brands, enabling technologies and services, and diagnostics and medical devices. Geographically, the firm looks for opportunities globally and seeks to generally invest $8 million to $10 million initially with a total investment size of $10 million to $15 million over the life of the investment. The firm seeks to be a lead investor in positions it takes and also aims to take Board seats. Inventages also has offices in Nassau, The Bahamas; London, United Kingdom; and Auckland, NewZealand.

2 September 2016 Nestlé to swallow portfolio company Phagenesis Phagenesis, developer of a medical device to treat dysphagia, had raised about $20m from investors including Nestlé's Inventages Venture Capital unit. Author: Robert Lavine, News Editor Nestlé Health Science, a subsidiary of food and nutrition product maker Nestlé, agreed yesterday to acquire UK-based medical device producer Phagenesis, allowing Nestlé-backed venture firm Inventages Venture Capital to exit.
