Under the M&A unit, Huobi Ventures aims to identify strategic opportunities across different blockchain verticals to complement and expand Huobi’s product offerings. Acquisitions will be integrated into Huobi’s growing suite of blockchain-enabled applications and services to expand the business into new markets.

Huangfu departs from Huobi Ventures Feb 16, 2023 • Roshini Bains After working for Huobi Global’s corporate investment division for nearly two years, Evans Huangfu has joined Arcane Group. Evans Huangfu has departed from Huobi Ventures, the investment arm of the Seychelles-registered cryptocurrency exchange, and has taken up a partner position at web3 investment firm Arcan Group. Evans Huangfu Huangfu joined Huobi Ventures in May 2021 as an investment analyst before moving up to investment and research lead five months later. Most recently, he was head of investment for eight months. His investments at Huobi Ventures included Clear Pool, Project Seed, Blocklords, Evos and Particle Network. Formed in 2021, Huobi Ventures invests in blockchain and crypto-related startups. The unit has more than 60 active portfolio companies and has also committed to funds including Animoca Brands. “I will always look back on my time at Huobi Ventures with fond memories,” said Huangfu on Linkedin. “I have no doubt that the company will continue to thrive and succeed in the exciting world of blockchain technology, and I have every confidence that each of you will do the same in your own careers.” LEADERSHIP SOCIETY Informing, connecting, and transforming the global corporate venture capital ecosystem.
