Pangea Cyber Corporation , a Palo Alto, CA-based company that provides application builders with a comprehensive portfolio of API-based security services through a single platform, raised $25M in Series A funding. The round was led by Ballistic Ventures with participation from SYN Ventures, Godfrey Sullivan (Former Chairman & CEO, Splunk), George Kurtz (Founder & CEO, CrowdStrike) and Dan Plastina (Former VP AWS Security Products). The company intends to use the funds for product development. Co-founded by Oliver Friedrichs and Sourabh Satish, Pangea is a comprehensive provider of security services for cloud and Mobile app developers, SaaS platform providers, and security operations centers. The company will be releasing several dozen API-based microservices. In addition to offering its own services including Secure Audit Log, Secure Object Store, Secure File Share, and Embargo Check, Pangea plans to aggregate and offer third-party APIs via partnerships.
