Empathetics Raises $1.5 Million

Empathetics Inc. has raised $1.5 million via sale of shares to four investors, according to an SEC filing. Its lead investors are Boston’s Key Venture Partners, and GDN Holdings, based in Minnetonka, Minn. Founded in 2011, Boston-based Empathetics is an empathy and communications training firm that provides CME/CE-accredited empathy and interpersonal skills courses for medical professionals, based on neurobiology and the physiology of human interactions. The courses are offered online. The company is led by President and CEO Tessa G. Misiaszek, Ph.D. MPH. Misiaszek was previously a principal consultant with Global Novations. Stories you Need to Know
