The investment focus of the Firm is on three major types of private equity investments: (1) majority-control corporate buy-out in association with management establishing platform acquisition corporations; (2) acquisitions by the platforms of companies that are candidates for asset redeployment; and (3) acquisitions by the platforms of companies that are turnaround candidates whose performance can be stimulated by a redirection of corporate strategy as part of a platform controlled by the Firm. Investments will only be considered if a substantial market opportunity can be identified and a strong, knowledgeable management team assembled. The Firm will concentrate its investment selections in five targeted industry sectors. The sectors are (i) hospital and HMO services, (ii) communications services, (iii) automotive parts manufacturing, (iv) electronic components manufacturing and assembly, and (v) food processing, packaging and distribution.
