Egypt-based edtech Sprints has raised $1.2 million in a Series A funding round led by the Alexandria Angels Network as well as members of MED Angels and AUC Angels, Cubit Ventures, Challenge Fund, EdVentures, Falak Startups, and Cairo Angels. “Over the past two years, the company has successfully delivered 20,000 learning experiences. The company aims to revolutionise the technology sector by raising skills and employing one million young people,” Ayman Bazraa, co-founder and CEO of Sprints, said. Sprints is a technology talent support company that offers a complete solution to close the talent gap in the field, from assessing talent pools to providing a tailored learning experience, finding a higher-paying job, and supporting graduate career advancement. The company also offers guaranteed placement programs for all graduates, with the cost of the training programs paid in monthly installments with no interest. Sprints, founded in 2019 by Ayman Bazraa and Bassam Sharkawy, aims to connect young adults in the Middle East and Africa who want to start or enhance their career in software. Sprints believes there is a more effective way to approach education and close the skills gap in the market. By building the necessary abilities for the AI era, the startup hopes to unlock the potential of 1 million curious learners. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is threatening to obliterate millions of human jobs. While this tremendous threat looms, our current educational institutions are failing far behind. Employers lose resources searching for, filtering, interviewing, re-educating newcomers, and upskilling employees because millions of students graduate each year without satisfying market requirements. Sprints is the first end-to-end solution to close the talent gap in the tech industry. Starting with talent assessment, delivering a customized learning journey, ensuring a high-paying job, and finally supporting alumni career advancement.
