On May 12-13, 2022, we’ll be hosting the 8th edition of our annual EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona! As the event draws closer, we’re very excited to announce our next speaker highlight: The German entrepreneur, investor and former adult entertainment disruptor Fabian Thylmann will join us in Barcelona on May 12-13! Under the Manwin umbrella (now MindGeek), Fabian once owned and operated the world’s most heavily used adult entertainment websites – including brands like YouPorn, PornHub, Brazzers, MyDirtyHobby and Tranny Surprise. Combined, the Manwin sites generated over 16 billion hits per month. With offices in 5 countries, Manwin once employed over 1,000 people. In October 2013, Fabian stepped down and sold his stake in the company for an undisclosed amount. At that time Manwin was the largest adult entertainment operator in the world. Since then, Fabian has been an active investor and innovator in the startup world – interested in fun projects across sectors to support and coach. He is committed to those projects that improve the quality of life for people – whether through progressive medical care or through emotions and experience in leisure and entertainment. Fabian’s current focus is in investing, and one of his more recent investments was in the Medicinal Cannabis market, as an early investor at Cannamedical Pharma, although he recently sold his shares. He has also become a restauranteur and club owner – with ownership of the Adriatic Sailing yacht company, Spencer & Hill, a traditional Italian restaurant in Cologne, Bootshaus, a world-famous Cologne club ranked #8 in DJMag’s best clubs of the world, and, Flamingo Royal, a boutique club also in Cologne. Fabian is certainly an exceptional entrepreneur/investor and we’re very excited to hear his insights! He will join us for a fireside chat on the main stage and we’ll be talking about his entrepreneurial career, current projects and insights from his investment activities.
