By FinSMEs HeadSense Medical Ltd. , a Netanya, Israel-based early stage company developing a non-invasive intracranial pressure (ICP) monitor, closed a financing of undisclosed amount. The round was led by Pontifax, with participation from GE Ventures , Everett Partners, and JuMaJo. The company intends to use the funds to continue to bring its monitor to market. Led by Guy Weinberg, CEO, HeadSense is developing its non-invasive neurological monitor focusing initially on an intracranial pressure (ICP) application. The device includes an earbuds-like disposable unit that is placed in the patient’s ears and generates an acoustic signal that is circulated through the head and then is picked up in the other ear using an acoustic sensor. The data generated from the signal can then be analyzed in real-time from a tablet or smartphone. FinSMEs
