The Barbie-themed mansion. Edina Realty Barbiecore Castle, a seven-bedroom mansion in Hudson, Wisconsin, is on the market for $1.1 million, according to Edina Realty's online listing . The property dates back to 1900 and has four bathrooms, two kitchens, a movie theatre, and an outdoor hot tub and swimming pool, the listing states. The house's exterior has been painted bright pink and there is Barbie-themed decor scattered throughout the property. The property is currently listed as Barbiecore Castle on Airbnb and costs $2,873 to rent per night. The owner, Brooke Fleetwood, told Insider the house first went on the market in October last year and that she plans to continue renting it out until it's sold. She added that the ideal buyer would be someone willing to take over the bookings on Airbnb. Advertisement The property wasn't always Barbie themed. Edina Realty Fleetwood is an entrepreneur and owner of several pink rental properties , including the famous Pink Castle in Hudson. But despite her love for the color, she didn't make her Barbiecore Castle pink until fairly recently. Fleetwood previously told Insider that she purchased the property in November 2020 and subsequently spent $330,000 transforming it into Goth Castle. After painting the exterior a dark gray color and designing custom Halloween-themed furniture, Fleetwood rented out the home on Airbnb. Speaking to Insider in November 2022, Fleetwood said she wanted the property to show the "gothic, sexy, dark, deep" side of her personality and the way she dresses. Edina Realty Speaking to Insider for a follow-up interview in September 2023, Fleetwood said the property first went on the market as Goth Castle in October last year. However, it was temporarily taken off the market while it was being rented for a short period, she added. The home was then placed back on the market in May and redecorated with a Barbie theme a week before the "Barbie" movie was released in July, Fleetwood said. She said she was inspired to redecorate the property because of the "Barbie" movie and also because all of her other properties were already pink. "Goth Castle was the seventh house that I owned, and the last one that wasn't pink already," she said. "I feel like it was just time… I didn't do it for advertising tactics or anything like that, but obviously, when I paint a house pink it gets a lot of attention," she added. While some of the interior was previously painted green, Fleetwood has now painted it pink to fit the Barbie theme. Before and after photos show the living area. Edina Realty However, some of the original gothic furniture has remained because it was custom-made, Fleetwood said. She previously told Insider that an estimated $100,000 went towards designing the furniture. Advertisement Advertisement Before and after photos show the dining room. Edina Realty The dining room has been revamped with sparkly pink curtains, pink walls, and pink decor. However, the original black table, chairs, and chandelier currently remain. The property's first kitchen is spacious and has a dining table and an island. Before and after photos show the kitchen. Edina Realty The kitchen, which has now been painted pink, previously had a neon "Goth Castle" sign on a gray wall. In its place, there is a glittering "Barbie" sign.
