UKHotViews London-headquartered Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity management start up floLIVE raised $47m of series C funding, led by Greenfield Partners and existing investor 83North, with participation from Qualcomm Ventures, Dell Technologies Capital, Saban Ventures, and Hazelnut Partners. The firm was founded back in 2015 and first covered by TMV in 2017 (see Funding flows to Flo Live – but who are they really? ). floLIVE is headquartered in London with Israeli-based R&D and has used previous investment to expand its presence in Europe, Asia and the US. The company’s solution targets enterprises and service providers which need to better manage secure network connectivity with multiple telcos and mobile network operators (MNOs) across the globe subject to different data privacy and regulatory compliance requirements. The company intends to use the funds to increase its presence further by partnering with additional MNOs whilst expanding its technology offer by launching integrated satellite connectivity, advanced location-based applications, network-based cybersecurity services and secure data routing. IoT is an extremely vibrant part of the SITS market right now. Billions of IoT devices are coming online with industries such as manufacturing, retail, automotive, healthcare, agriculture and transportation involved in large scale deployments. Suppliers will need help managing every aspect of IoT service delivery, and floLIVE looks like a useful connectivity solution able to shift the burden of security, privacy and administration onto a third party.
