Share: Chooose , an Oslo, Norway-based company building a platform for climate solutions, announced that it completed a $4 million seed investment round. The funding round is led by Contrarian Ventures and includes Vito One , Wiski Capital and a number of Norwegian angel investors. Chooose, founded in 2017 and led by CEO Andreas Slettvoll, built a digital platform that makes it easier to fund CO2-reducing projects in developing countries. The platform access is available via a subscription available both to consumers and to companies or via software that lets anyone with an e-commerce solution utilize Chooose as-a-service at checkout. The money is directed to CO2-reducing projects as the company buys and deletes carbon credits from the market and as also it is involved in UN-regulated clean energy projects from developing countries. Chooose is used by customers such as Telia, Santander Consumer Bank, Red Bull, the Norwegian national ski jumping and ice hockey teams, pop star Matoma, and thousands of individuals across close to 60 countries. Prior to this investment round, Chooose was part of Katapult Accelerator , and upon graduation raised $600k.
