Aug 19, 2014, 2:51pm CDT Bayer adds former Colonial executive McNamee Email | Twitter Bayer Properties has hired one of the region's heavy hitters when it comes to commercial developments. Charles McNamee , former senior vice president of commercial development and construction for Colonial Properties Trust joined Bayer recently in the role of senior vice president of development and construction. With 35 years of experience in the field, McNamee brings a long resume of large developments, especially in the Birmingham region. At Colonial Properties, McNamee oversaw the implementation of retail, office and mix-use development projects start to finish. McNamee was promoted to senior vice president at Colonial Properties in 2005 after the redevelopment of Colonial Brookwood Village and the completion of the first two phases of Colonial Promenade Trussville. As senior vice president with Bayer, McNamee will oversee all aspects of development and construction, including development and tenant coordination, as well as the construction departments.
