Indonesia Digest: CoHive ties up with South Korean creative agency, Lenna rolls out new product

July 1, 2019 Indonesian startup CoHive has teamed up with South Korea’s Center for Creative Economy and Innovation Daegu to bolster the startup ecosystem between the two countries. In a separate development, AI-driven virtual assistant startup Lenna has launched a new product that could help business players or companies develop smart chatbots in order to improve their quality of service. CoHive ties up with South Korea’s creative agency EV Hive, an Indonesian startup which was recently rebranded as CoHive , has teamed up with South Korea’s Center for Creative Economy and Innovation Daegu or CCEI to bolster the startup ecosystem between the two countries, the company said in a statement. CoHive co-founder and chief of Creative Officer (CCO) Ethan Choi said that the collaboration will benefit both the countries as it could find networks and connections, besides working together. CCEI Daegu is a non-profit organisation established under the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, which works towards the development of the regional startup ecosystem and innovation in Daegu. As part of the collaboration, CoHive and CCEI Daegu will conduct activities that include mentoring, business model consulting, knowledge and experience sharing, as well as network building. AI-driven startup Lenna launches ‘Lenna Platform 2.0’ Lenna, an AI-driven virtual assistant startup, has launched a new product that could help business players or companies to develop smart chatbots in order to improve their quality of service, the company said in a statement. The new product, dubbed as Lenna Platform 2.0, allows customers to train bots by only providing text and paragraphs – an initiative that the company claims can save time and effort, besides offering a different platform and technology compared to other products in the market. Lenna’s product, which is the voice-command virtual assistant, has been used by state-controlled lender BNI and other companies in Indonesia to assist customers to conduct transactions, transfers, and the bill payment.
