BlueHalo Wins Marine Corps Contract for 33 Virtual Stinger Training Systems

WashingtonExec James Batt, BlueHalo National security solutions provider BlueHalo has been awarded a firm-fixed price contract for Stinger Training Systems by the Marine Corps Systems Command in Quantico, Virginia. “BlueHalo is pleased to continue our partnership with USMC to deliver transformative warfighter readiness capabilities in the form of our Virtual Stinger Trainer VR simulators,” said James Batt, BlueHalo chief growth officer. This contract provides for procurement of 33 Stinger Training Systems, spare blocks, labor support, a technical data package, help desk support and other direct costs in support of Marine Corps program manager for ground based air defense. “BlueHalo is excited to be a combat enabler for the Marines. This cutting-edge training technology will help our warfighters best prepare and perform their mission,” said Jimmy Jenkins, BlueHalo president and general manager for Air and Missile Defense and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance. BlueHalo’s virtual reality technology leverages extended reality hardware coupled with BlueHalo-developed software to create highly immersive and realistic virtual threat environments. The software enables users to define scenarios to create adaptive simulations that enhance the readiness of Marine Corps Stinger Teams and Low Altitude Air Defense units overall. All work will be performed in Huntsville, Alabama, with an expected completion date of June 28, 2024.
