Grain Management’s Acquisition of Hunter Communications

Bank Street Group LLC served as exclusive financial adviser to Hunter Communications, and Perkins Coie LLP served as legal adviser to Hunter Communications for the transaction. CoBank ACB acted as sole financing arranger and Alston & Bird LLP served as legal counsel to Grain Management. Grain Management LLC,a leading Washington, D.C.-based investment firm focused on the global communications sector, announced the acquisition of a majority interest in Hunter Communications Inc., an Oregon-based telecommunications company. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Grain Management is a private equity firm focused on investments in the communications sector. Hunter Communications provides high-bandwidth data and voice services in southern Oregon and parts of northern California. The Perkins Coie team was led by Joe Bailey (Picture) and Brent Bullock, and included Larry Reichman, Bekki Emerson, Jim McTarnaghan, Bryan Smith, Tom Cristy, Dan Sito, Marc Martin and Michael Sherling.
