Register now A Bank of Scotland spokesman said: “We all have an important part to play in providing leadership, influencing change and collaborating with others across different sectors to help ensure a fairer and better future for Scotland. “Our recent UK Green Growth Index , developed by Oxford Economics, explores how well placed the regions across the UK are to capitalise on the opportunities of the green economy - Scotland has been identified as the region that is best placed to lead the green revolution as the UK seeks to recover from the pandemic. “We recognise that the landscape differs dramatically from business-to-business who are at different stages of their sustainability journey, therefore businesses need to be thinking how they can achieve their transition in a way that is fair and equitable for all throughout their supply chains - it’s essential that we think and act as a collective to deliver meaningful change. “With the COP26 climate change conference just around the corner, we know there is an urgent need to accelerate our efforts by taking full advantage of the green growth opportunity, and to create more awareness of green finance options to help ensure a more sustainable future.” By the side of Scottish Business: Building a Sustainable Future Together, will take place on Tuesday 5 October, from 10:30am to 12:00 noon. • Gordon Dewar - Chief Executive, Edinburgh Airport Limited • Martyn Link - Chief Strategy Officer, Wood Group • Fiona MacInnes - MD, Orkney Fishermen’s Society, Director of Orkney Food & Drink • Andrew Howard - Managing Director, Moray Estates • Rory Christie - Director Dourie Farming Co Ltd, Vice Chairman and Director of SAOS (Scottish Agricultural Organisation Society), Chairman & Co-founder of MSA (Milk Suppliers Association) • Scott Barton - MD, Corporate & Institutional Coverage, Bank of Scotland Commercial Banking • Jonas Persson - MD, Sustainability & ESG Finance, Bank of Scotland Commercial Banking • Paul Gordon - MD, SME & Mid Corporates, Bank of Scotland Commercial Banking • Glenn Bemment - Head of ESG, SME & Mid Corporate, Bank of Scotland Commercial Banking
