Squake , a Berlin, Germany-based climate tech startup powering carbon calculations, providing compensation for travel and logistics emissions, raised €3.5M in Seed funding. The round, which brought the total amount to €5M, was led by Simon Capital, with participation from Schenker Ventures, Rivus Capital, Neosfer and Backbone Ventures, and business angels Michael Riegel and Matthäus Niewodniczanski. The company intends to use the funds for technology R&D and operational hires. Founded in 2020 by Philipp von Lamezan (CEO) and Dan Kreibich (CPO), Squake provides a solution for sustainable travel and logistics. Through one API, the company integrates into the backend of any digital infrastructure to make precise carbon calculations for all types of travel and logistics activities – such as flights, shipping, car rentals, and hotels – based on national and international standards. By connecting customers with principled and established partners globally – including sustainable aviation fuels, direct carbon capture, and reforestation providers – the platform automates the carbon reduction and removal process. Through this qualified network of partners, Squake makes meaningful climate action accessible to everyone.
