Arrow Exterminators Recognizes Sales Professionals and Management Team

Oct 19, 2021

Arrow Exterminators Recognizes Sales Professionals and Management Team The company recently hosted its 2021 top performing sales professionals, service professionals, customer care specialists, and management team members at Premier Club and Pinnacle Club events. ATLANTA  – Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators recently hosted the company’s 2021 top performing sales professionals, service professionals, customer care specialists, and management team members at its annual Premier Club and Pinnacle Club events. The 2021 Premier Club and Circle of Diamonds event was held in Washington D.C. The event kicked off with dinners on Wednesday evening for qualifying Management team members and President’s Club achievers, an exclusive segment of the Premier Club who achieve even higher sales goals than their colleagues. Attendees enjoyed exploring the nation’s capital during the day, and Arrow hosted a banquet on Friday evening at the Washington National Cathedral to celebrate and reflect on the past fiscal year’s achievements. “It was a great honor to be able to recognize Arrow’s top producing sales professionals and our incredible leadership team at this year’s Premier Club and Circle of Diamonds trip,” said Emily Thomas Kendrick, CEO of Arrow Exterminators. “These individuals played a critical role in Arrow achieving the milestone of $300 million in revenue this year and this was a great opportunity to thank them for their hard work and commitment to excellence.” The 2021 Pinnacle Club event was held in Orlando, Fla., where Arrow team members were provided the opportunity to enjoy all the city has to offer. From exhilarating theme park rides at Universal Studios, to shopping and exploring CityWalk, Orlando has many activities to enjoy. In the evening, Arrow hosted its award winners at Universal Studios’ Wizarding World of Harry Potter to celebrate their achievements from the previous year. Pinnacle Club recognizes the company’s top selling Service Professionals and Customer Care Specialists. This special achievement is earned by reaching goals set for sales and outstanding service efforts. Pinnacle Club also recognizes members of our management team who achieved their safety goals for their service centers for this past fiscal year. “I could not be prouder of each and every hard-working team member who attended our award trips this year,” Kendrick said. “We are so fortunate to have such an outstanding and determined group of individuals here at Arrow. We’re just getting started, and we’re looking forward to another fantastic year ahead of us!” Joe Thomas, Chairman of the Board, added, “We have the best sales and management team in our industry, and we are more than happy to show our appreciation for their hard work and incredible success by inviting them to these events.”   In late September, WSDA’s Pest Program removed the third Asian giant hornet (Vespa mandarinia) nest of 2021, making it the fourth nest removed since the invasive hornet was first detected in Washington in December 2019. All of the nests have been in the same general area east of Blaine. Most research on these hornets suggests that they normally nest in the ground and more rarely in trees. But so far, 100 percent of nests found in Washington have been in tree cavities. The entrance to this latest nest was over 15 feet above the ground. A thermal-imaging camera showed the nest itself was below the nest entrance. The challenge posed by working on a nest so high up was compounded by the fact that the nest was also surrounded by dense trees and vegetation – especially blackberry patches as much as eight feet tall. The team of entomologists and others from the pest program had to use some new tools to eradicate this nest, including a rented bucket lift to raise them over the bulk of the vegetation so they could work safely at the nest entrance. Just as in the other nest removals, once at the entrance, the team sealed up the tree and vacuumed most of the hornets out before sealing the entrance. In addition to the height of the nest, it was also in a decaying alder tree. This made it risky to safely cut the tree down. A trail steward from the Department of Natural Resources was able to help. Wearing a bulky hornet suit, he cut the tree so it dropped right on target. Once the tree was down, he cut it into sections and split the tree open so the team could finish collecting the remaining hornets and the nest. 10 combs TRENTON, N.J.  – Learning how to bridge the generational gap is quickly becoming a heated topic for businesses across the country. With five generations in the workforce today, learning to get everyone on the same page is posing a bit of a challenge. From the Baby Boomers who aren’t ready to retire to the Gen Xers who have been patiently waiting for their turn at leadership, to the Millennials who are eager to advance or job hop, finding the right balance for your team is important. According to Gallup research , “millennials are more likely than the previous generation to say that development opportunities and ‘quality of manager’ are extremely important in a new job.”  With millennials leading 75% of the workforce by 2025 according to Forbes , now is the time to find the ways to properly motivate the generations and leaders in your business. “What each generation should do is be thinking about, ‘what value does this other person in this other generation bring to our department?’” said Paul Walter s, during a Called to Coach Podcast for Gallup. “Given their youth, what value does that actually add? And if I'm thinking about someone who is older, what does that experience -- what value does that bring to the company?”   PestWorld 2021 attendees can sit-in on a Thought Leaders Session titled “Bridging Generations” on November 4, 2021, with Evolve YT CEO and creator, Phil Cooper. The two-part session will tackle the difficulties associated with multigenerational workforces, how to motivate, hire and market to the varying generations. Attendees can expect to learn how to find and hire quality talent while addressing generational differences, how to properly adapt your marketing channels by generations as well as how supervisors can better approach their generational teams to enhance employee satisfaction scores. “Leading a team is hard but leading a successful team is even harder,” Cooper said. “With five different generations in the workforce today, navigating the differences can pose difficulties for managers. I’m eager to present various tactics and tools that supervisors can use to motivate their team, improve employee morale and have their direct reports working seamlessly together towards a common goal.”   Not only will Cooper discuss ways to bridge the generational gap at your business, but he will also address the ways to market to your customers based on their generational preferences. “We all know generational differences exist, but we don’t recognize the problems they create, nor do we try to find solutions to fix them. This is where businesses fall short,” Cooper said. “We need to acknowledge the differences and tailor our messaging, marketing and job listings to appeal to the ideal customer or employee we are searching for.”   Cooper is elated to be able to share his experience, knowledge, and passion for building businesses with the attendees at PestWorld. “I’m honored to be able to speak at PestWorld this year,” he said. “I’m looking forward to helping companies understand the challenges they are facing, how they can address them and continue to move forward with their success.”   Cooper explained that even though companies may believe having multiple generations creates problems in their business, it is in fact a benefit to having multiple generations in one company. “When we learn to understand the different generations, expectations and how to communication properly with them, your team will be poised for great success. Each generation provides a unique set of insights and when they all come together it’s a recipe for success.”   Cooper’s two-part PestWorld session is held on November 4th at 1:30 – 2:45 p.m. and 3:00 – 4:15 p.m. For more information on Bridging Generations or any other Evolve YT Supervisor Development courses, click here .
