About Andy Bechtolsheim
Andy Bechtolsheim is a computer scientist who co-founded Sun Microsystems in 1982, along with Vinod Khosla, Bill Joy, and Scott McNealy.Bechtolsheim is a co-founder of HighBAR Ventures, an early-stage venture capital investment firm, along with two Sun colleagues: Bill Joy and Roy Thiele-Sardia. In 1996, Cisco acquired a company he started, Granite Systems, for $220 million. He formed another start-up, Kealia, to make computer servers, and sold that company to Sun in 2004.
