Embora o risco de novas tensões EUA – China permaneça, gestoras de recursos, como Barings e AMP Capital Investors, dizem que mercados emergentes devem se beneficiar da recuperação da demanda global. “Como a confiança do investidor parece melhorar lentamente, parte desse dinheiro parece voltar pouco a pouco aos ativos sensíveis à economia”, disse Khiem Do, responsável por investimentos na Grande China na Barings, em Hong Kong. “O momentum positivo em mercados emergentes deve ser levado para junho e além, particularmente porque os mercados emergentes, nos níveis atuais, são considerados uma das classes de ativos mais atraentes.” Os mercados emergentes mostraram resistência em maio, desafiando a tendência histórica, pois mantiveram os ganhos obtidos em abril.
